The Prym Non-Sew Colour-Couding System
So that everyone can use non-sew fasteners easily, Prym has developed colour-coded tools sets to make it easier to match non-sew items. They were designed specially for use with the VARIO Creative® Tool but can also be used with the VARIO pliers and tripod (see icons on packaging for precise matching).
TIP: The colour of the tools set you need is found on the consumables packaging.
„Sport and Camping" press fasteners
Strong closure
Prym "Sport & Camping" press fasteners feature the Prym ring pattern, making them ideal for the tough fabrics used in leisure and sports clothing, camping equipment, tents and even for coarse leather, as well as standing up to the high forces faced by these products.
"Sport & Camping" press fasteners are high quality and made using specialist techniques, so they are resistant to corrosion, can be washed, tumble dried, cleaned, ironed and pressed without damage.

„Anorak“ press fasteners
Mid-strength closure
"Anorak" non-sew press fasteners with mid-strength closure are the ideal press fasteners for jackets, anoraks, dresses, skirts, bags and fine leather textile products. Our special bronze pattern (S pattern) guarantees smooth opening and closing.
These press fasteners are made from rustproof brass with a range of surfaces, including silver-coloured, gold-coloured, antique brass, antique copper, antique steel and black oxidized, as well as white and black.

Low-strength closure
Prym "Jersey" press fasteners provide low to mid-strength fastening and are specially designed for thinner and stretchy fabrics (like the ones used for baby and children’s clothing). The serrated ring removes the need to pierce a hole in the fabric, so the fabric remains intact. "Jersey" rustproof press fasteners are available in a range of colours and designs and they can be washed, tumble dried, cleaned, ironed and pressed with no issues.
How to use: Push the tools set for "Jersey" press fasteners (item no.: 673 134) firmly into the tool until it clicks into place.
Use the "removing kit" (item no.: 673 141) to remove a fastener without a trace.

„Color Snaps“ press fasteners
Low-strength closure
"Color snaps" press fasteners are bright, decorative and easy to attach to e.g. clothing, accessories and decorations. These highly popular poppers provide low-strength closure and are made from sturdy plastic (washable up to 60 degrees), making them ideal for baby and children’s clothing. "Color Snaps" are available in a range of shapes: round, heart-shaped, star, flower and even a sewn-on effect.
We recommend using our Power Dots (item no.: 966 020) to reinforce the fabric when you attach a new fastener. Use the "removing kit" (item no.: 673 140) to remove a fastener without a trace."

We’ve all seen the rivets on jeans that reinforce pocket corners and additionally act as a decorative element. Prym universal rivets, 9 mm diameter, can be used either way around and are made from rustproof brass, available in silver-coloured/antique steel or antique copper/black oxidized versions to suit your taste.

Tubular rivets
Sturdy attachment, reinforcement and decoration
Prym tubular rivets are available in a range of sizes for use with materials of different thicknesses. They come in different head sizes and different lengths of the internal tubes. The longer the tube, the thicker the material you can rivet, e.g. something like leather.
These tubular rivets are made from rustproof, silver-coloured brass and look neat and clean wherever you might use them.

Eyelets are versatile and can be used for lace-up fastenings, or chic detailing on clothing, accessories and decorations. These rustproof eyelets are made of brass and available in a range of colours and interior diameters.
Eyelets with interior diameter 11 mm or 14 mm can be attached using the crafter’s hammer, or very easily using the VARIO Creative® Tool and the matching tools set.

"Jeans" Buttons
Robust and helpful for any denim project
Prym "Jeans" buttons are specially made to use with denim jackets, denim shirts, jeans and denim skirts, though, of course, you could use them with leather or canvas, too. "Jeans" buttons are available in several versions: popular, relaxed or contemporary; with a flower for children’s jeans; American style for a cool aesthetic, or completely plain.
