The subject of data protection is personal data (Art. 4 (1) GDPR): any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g. name, address, e‑mail, telephone, IP address). This policy applies to customers, potential customers, job applicants and visitors of all websites and online presences for which Prym Consumer Europe GmbH is responsible, but not to external links .

3. Use of your Personal Data, general information

When you access our website, certain usage data (such as IP address, browser type, access time) are transmitted automatically. We only collect further personal data if you provide it voluntarily (e.g. e‑mail, contact details) and solely for the purpose communicated (e.g. correspondence, contract execution). After completion of the contract, data will be archived or deleted as per legal requirements. Newsletter addresses will be used for advertising until unsubscribed. Data will only be shared externally if legally required or with prior consent .

4. Which personal data do we process?

We process data you provide in contact forms or account registrations, including:

5. For what purpose do we process your personal data – and on what legal basis?

5.1 Performance of a contract

Data processing for contract execution (e.g. name, address, e‑mail), including order handling and customer inquiries. Application data is processed for hiring purposes under Art. 6 (1) b GDPR and erased if no employment results.

5.2 Balancing of interests (marketing and security)

We process data to improve customer relations, perform surveys, marketing analysis, fraud prevention, system security and evidence preservation in legal disputes. You have the right to object to such processing at any time.

5.3 Your consent

Where processing is based on consent (e.g. forms, newsletter tracking), you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing .

5.4 Legal obligations

We process data to comply with legal requirements (e.g. fiscal laws).

6. Where and why we transfer data

Data may be shared within PRYM departments and external service providers (e.g. logistics, hosting, marketing) under strict API/contractual rules. Legal obligations (e.g. for authorities, courts) and intra‑group transfers (with protections for transfers outside EEA) are adhered to. We do not sell personal data .

7. Are you obliged to provide personal data?

Certain data are necessary to execute contracts or comply with legal duties. Without them, we cannot conclude a contract.

8. Erasure periods

Data is retained only as long as needed; statutory retention may apply (up to 10 years for tax, 30 years for legal claims) .

  • Erasure: When legal grounds allow.

  • Data portability: Art. 20.
