Whoever thinks that a simple needlework utensil such as the thimble cannot be further developed, will be positively surprised by the “Soft Comfort” from the prym.ergonomics series. This innovative thimble was awarded the Red Dot Design Award in 2015, because it does everything perfectly that its competitors should. Its shaft of soft plastic in several colours offers impeccable comfort in sizes S, M and L. On its side there are four vents that prevent sweating when working for longer periods. The top of the “Soft Comfort” thimble ‘is made of hard white plastic and has dot shaped notches which ensure perfect needle guidance even with sturdy fabrics and multiple layers.

Dressmaker’s wax
The Prym dressmaker’s wax is available as a practical round plate in a two-piece transparent plastic box which has three slotted openings on both sides. Pulling the thread through this groove, it is coated with a fine layer of wax and thereby gains flexibility and stability. Thus, the thread slides smoothly through the material and is not frayed nor can it get knotted. But not only thread, but also zip fasteners or jammed drawers can be freed up with the universally applicable dressmaker’s wax.

This violet market, a water-erasable felt-tip pen, should be stored with the cartridge pointing downwards, to ensure a lasting flow of ink and to protect it from drying out. Available in two cartridge thicknesses from Prym, it is ideal for tracing heavy or fine lines on all light-coloured and not too dark fabrics. Depending on the characteristics of the fabric, the markings disappear without trace spontaneously and as if by magic. Important: Before using the marking pen, use it to mark a test piece of fabric and then test the removal of the marks from that piece of fabric.
