These standard or pinking spare blades with a diameter of 45 mm have been specially designed for the prym.ergonomics rotary cutter, and with regard to shape and function form a perfectly coordinated system. Although the blades are extremely sharp, they can be changed with ease, because, right from the moment you remove them from the packaging up until you fit them to the rotary cutter, the blades are safely protected. A high-quality plastic protective cover allows you to change the blade safely without directly touching the blade. When the rotary cutter is not in use, the blade guard ensures that the cutter can be safely locked. The safely packaged blades should be changed regularly, because blunt blades lead to fatigue, inaccurate cutting and damage to the cutting mat. The standard spare blade has a light green blade guard; the pinking spare blade has a blue blade guard.

The innovative prym.ergonomics rotary cutter ensures comfortable, fatigue-free and, above all, safe use. Its ergonomic design effectively acts as an extension of the arm, allowing the rotary cutter to be guided and held intuitively. Thanks to the ergonomic shape of the handle, the end of the handle can be comfortably gripped by the palm of the hand - its soft coating ensures a secure yet comfortable grip for the guiding hand during the cutting process.This rotary cutter is also right at the forefront when it comes to safety, as locking and unlocking is achieved simply by moving the blade guard over the slide button - without any contact with the sharp edge. The locking and unlocking process is further confirmed by a clicking sound when the guard reaches its end position. Changing the blade is equally simple - from the moment you remove the spare blade from the packaging to fitting it into the cutter, there is no contact with the sharp blade. Prym offers this ergonomic rotary cutter with (610481) and without (610474) a cutting guide. The cutting guide is a parallel wheel that can be fitted on either the right or left-hand side. Seam allowances from 1.0 cm to 4.0 cm can be adjusted as required.
