Jersey needles have been specially developed for sewing knitted fabrics and stretch fabrics. They have a rounded ball point (Medium Ball Point), which pushes the stitches of the fabric to one side rather than piercing them. This prevents runs, damaged fibres and holes. This needle is particularly suitable for T-shirts, leggings, baby clothes, cuffs and ribbed fabrics, cardigans and fine knits, as well as for repairs and hemming on stretchy fabrics.
