Crochet a Unicorn
Unicorn Pino

You can also use a different yarn for this amigurumi unicorn. Crochet as tightly as possible and stuff the unicorn evenly so that it keeps its shape for a long time.
Unicorn Pino is crocheted in continuous spiral rounds from the beginning. Repeat the instructions in brackets as many times as stated directly after them.
Tip: For an especially neat finish, invisible decreases are recommended. You can learn how to crochet them in a video tutorial, for example.
Step 1: Crochet the head
Begin with white yarn. Ch 4 and start in the 2nd ch from the hook.
Rnd 1: Crochet 2 sc into the foundation chain, 3 sc into the last st. Do not turn. Continue crocheting along the other side of the foundation chain: 2 sc, 3 sc into the last st. (10)

Stuffing tip: Take a small amount of toy stuffing and use your index and middle fingers to distribute it evenly inside the opening. This helps the head keep a smooth, even shape.

Step 2: Crochet the ears (2x)
Use grey yarn.

Step 3: Crochet the horn
Use gold yarn.

Step 4: Crochet the mane
Choose your first colour. In the example, the mane begins with brown.
Ch 21 and crochet back along the foundation chain.
Now crochet 3 double treble crochet stitches into each stitch.
Then change to grey yarn.
On the other side of the foundation chain, crochet 3 double treble crochet stitches into each stitch as well.
Cut the yarn, leaving a long enough tail.You will use this yarn tail later to sew the mane onto the head.
Step 5: Crochet the arms (2x)
Begin with gold yarn.
Rnd 1: Crochet 6 sc into a MR. (6)
Rnd 2: 6 x inc. (12)

Step 8: Sew on the individual pieces and embroider the face
Sew the head firmly onto the body.
Then sew on the arms.
Fold the ears and sew them onto the head.
Sew the horn between the ears.
First embroider the eyes with black yarn.
Then add a small white stitch under each eye as a highlight.
Embroider the nose and eyebrows in the desired position.
Sew the mane onto the back of the head.
Step 9: Crochet the dungarees
The dungarees are crocheted from bottom to top.
First crochet both trouser legs. Then join them and continue crocheting the dungarees upwards. Please note: every unicorn is stuffed a little differently. Try the dungarees on from time to time as you work. Depending on the shape, you may need a few more or fewer stitches in some places.
First trouser leg:
Rnd 1: Ch 21 and join the beginning and end with 1 sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 2: Ch 1 and crochet 20 hdc around the ring.
Rnd 3: Ch 1 and crochet 20 hdc again.
Crochet the second trouser leg in the same way.
Cut the yarn on the first trouser leg. Do not cut the yarn on the second trouser leg, as you will continue working with it.
Ch 6 and join to the first trouser leg with 1 single crochet. This is now the new beginning of the round.
Rnd 1: Crochet 20 hdc into the first trouser leg, 6 hdc into the foundation chain, 20 hdc into the second trouser leg, 6 hdc into the foundation chain. (52)
Rnds 2–7 (6 rounds): Crochet 1 hdc in each st. (52)
Rnd 8: (24 hdc, dec) repeat 2 times. (50)
Rnd 9: Crochet 6 hdc, ch 1 and turn your work.
Rnd 10: Crochet 14 hdc back, ch 1 and turn your work.

Continue crocheting the first strap directly with the working yarn. In the example, 17 ch were crocheted and the strap was sewn to the back.
Try the dungarees on here as well to check the fit. Depending on how it sits, you may need more or fewer chain stitches.
For the second strap, rejoin the yarn on the other side and crochet 17 ch as well.
Sew the strap to the back.
Your crocheted Unicorn Pino is finished.
