What do you need for patchwork & quilting?

Rotatable cutting mat
With the rotating cutting mat you can easily position pieces of fabric for the perfect cut. The front is printed with a cm scale and the underside prevents the mat from slipping while you work.
Cutting mat
Cutting mats are almost indispensable when you work with the rotary cutter in patchwork & quilting. The cutting mats of our own brand "Omnigrid" are printed on both sides with a centimeter and an inch scale and are available in different sizes.
Tipp:Keep your cutting mat flat and don't use it as an ironing board. If you have limited space, our foldable Prym Love cutting mat with cm scale is perfect for you. |
Make your own binding
With a bias tape former you can easily make quilt bindings yourself in 6, 12, 18, 25 and 50 mm widths. But not only bindings you can create with it, but also all other bias tapes.
However, we also have heat-resistant bias tape sticks for you in the assortment in sizes 3; 4.5; 6.5; 9.5; 12.5 mm (⅛, 3 16, ¼, ⅜, ½ inch). They are mainly used as an ironing aid for bias tapes and facilitate shaping for fine appliqué work or Celtic Applique.
Pins, clips and glue
Long pins
For multiple layers of fabric extra long pins (029160) that grip effortlessly yet are fine enough (0.6 mm) not to damage the fabric.
Quilt embroidery needles with flower head
Quilt embroidery pins have an extra flat head that can be ironed to 2-point.
Quilt Clips
Quilt clips hold hems and quilt bindings in place during sewing and are an alternative to fabric clips.
Spray Fuser
Spray fuser replaces tedious basting or piecing. It temporarily holds layers together for hand or machine quilting (washable) and is also suitable for all applique work.
Wondertapes
Wondertape works like a double-sided adhesive tape and temporarily fixes different fabrics together. After washing the textile it disappears again.
Glue stick
The glue stick is also washable and is suitable for temporary fixing of fabrics, appliqués, lace and much more.
The right needles for your quilt
Quilters Premium needles
Quilter's Premium fine and extra fine special sewing needles made of hardened steel combine all the features you need for quilting. In addition to the symmetrical, burr-free eye quality, the needles have a multiple and specially ground tip. The optimized length to diameter ratio provides ideal stability and flexibility for hand quilting.
If you want to learn hand quilting, tailor's wax is also helpful. To do this, pull the quilting thread through the wax before sewing, thus strengthening the thread and preventing knots and splits.

With the help of perforated transfer foil you can easily transfer quilting or embroidery designs onto fabric.
Creative Fleece
With the creative fleece you stabilize and bind fabrics and can easily appliqué them.
Water-soluble Creative Fleece
The Creative Fleece is also available in a water-soluble version. It serves as a backing material and stabilizer for embroidery and new creative techniques. After completion of the project, you can simply rinse it out with water without leaving any residue.
