Información sobre el producto "Aguja para alfombras smyrna"

Knitting Smyrna carpets is based on a very old Greek tradition and is still a beloved knitting technique, even after hundreds of years. Prym's lockable latch hooks for rug making are the ideal tool for this handicraft. As soon as the tip of the latch hooks are passed through the embroidery canvas, the hook's latch automatically opens. This allows for the thread to be inserted and drawn through the embroidery canvas. The hook closes itself automatically during the process, preventing the thread from slipping. Both latch hooks for Smyrna and fine Smyrna are equipped with a wooden handle, therefore allowing you to work comfortably. Prym's lockable latch hooks for rug making are the ideal tool for this handicraft.

Making many types of bobbin lace is very elaborate handicraft and requires the largest possible overview of the arrangement and order of the large amount of lace bobbins. These ten lace bobbin holders by Prym are best-suited for this exact task. Its 13 cm-length lets them secure up to eight lace bobbins. Both end caps made of plum-blue plastic are connected to a long, steel spring. A grey-coated, 2.5 mm-thick aluminium needle runs parallel to the string, which is only firmly seated in one of the end caps. This allows the lace bobbin holders on the other side to be opened and closed to temporarily hold lace bobbins or even stitches in position.

Fileting, also known as netting, is an old, traditional handicraft for creating lace. For this, the Prym product line contains the netting set, which contains all the required tools. It has three rods of varying sizes, two netting needles, and a darning needle. Using the rods and netting needle, a yarn mesh is first created, which is afterwards filled with darning stitches until the desired pattern or image is completed on the lace. Netting lace has long decorated Swiss traditional dresses, although it can also adorn day-to-day objects such as blankets and curtains. The yarn used should not be twined too strongly, so that it doesn't twist when working.
